Preserving Appalachian Chestnut Tradition

Soak Creek Farms is a West Virginia chestnut farm dedicated to healthy and sustainable practices, honoring the great Appalachian tradition. We are reviving the once abundant chestnut trees that were wiped out by blight at the turn of the 20th century. Chestnuts are not only highly nutritious, but also represent a bygone way of life that we aim to preserve.
